Neroli

Neroli is a fresh, floral, and citrusy fragrance note known for its bright and uplifting aroma with subtle sweet and green undertones. Extracted from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium), neroli has a delicate, radiant scent that evokes the feeling of a spring garden. It is often used as a top or heart note, adding a refreshing and elegant touch to perfumes. Neroli pairs beautifully with other citrus, floral, and green notes, contributing to light, sophisticated, and timeless fragrance compositions.

History & Production: The use of neroli in perfumery dates back to the 17th century when Anne Marie Orsini, the Duchess of Bracciano and Princess of Nerola, popularized the scent by using it to perfume her gloves and bathwater. The oil is obtained through steam distillation of the delicate white blossoms of the bitter orange tree, preserving their fresh, floral essence. This precious extraction process yields a light, aromatic oil that has been cherished for its soothing and mood-lifting properties. Today, neroli remains a staple in both classic and modern perfumery, celebrated for its ability to bring a touch of elegance and brightness to any fragrance.
