History & Production: Bulgaria, particularly the Rose Valley near Kazanlak, is one of the world’s most famous regions for producing high-quality rose oil. The petals are processed through steam distillation to produce rose essential oil, also known as rose otto. This labor-intensive process yields a highly concentrated and precious oil, making Bulgarian rose one of the most valued and sought-after ingredients in perfumery.
