Annie Buzantian
Annie Buzantian’s journey from the Romanian seaside and Lebanese forests to the pinnacle of perfumery is nothing short of extraordinary. Her early exposure to nature's beauty instilled a deep appreciation for sensory experiences, which she channeled into a career in fragrance. Starting as a lab assistant at Universal Oil Products in the early '70s, Buzantian's innate talent and dedication quickly led her to learn under the legendary Elie Roger.
By 1988, she was named Master Perfumer at Firmenich, breaking new ground as the first woman to achieve this title. Buzantian’s work includes iconic creations such as Tommy Hilfiger’s Tommy and Estée Lauder’s Pleasures, earning her accolades including the American Society of Perfumers Lifetime Achievement Award. Her legacy is marked by over 90 timeless fragrances that continue to influence and inspire the industry.
