Aurélien Guichard

Born and raised in Grasse, the epicenter of the perfume world, Aurélien Guichard's life has been steeped in fragrance from the very beginning. Growing up in a family business that specialized in cultivating roses and jasmine, he naturally followed in his father's footsteps into the realm of perfumery. Trained at the prestigious Givaudan Perfumery School, Guichard’s career took off with notable collaborations including Bond no. 9, Davidoff, and Robert Piguet, showcasing his diverse expertise.

Guichard's unique approach to perfumery is deeply rooted in his family's seven-generation legacy. In 2016, he returned to his familial lands in Grasse, establishing Matiere Premiere with a focus on growing his own ingredients. This dedication to cultivating raw materials not only distinguishes his creations but also underscores his philosophy that each fragrance captures a fleeting moment of human experience, embodying both tradition and personal touch.
