Jacques Cavallier
Born in Grasse in 1962 to a family of perfumers, Jacques Cavallier was immersed in the world of scents from a young age. By 10, he was apprenticing in fragrance labs, and after his baccalaureate, he trained at Charabot, further honing his skills under his perfumer father. His career flourished as he joined prestigious firms like Quest, PFW, and finally Firmenich in 1990, where he collaborated with Alberto Morillas. Cavallier's notable creations, such as L'Eau d'Issey for Issey Miyake and Jean Paul Gaultier Women, solidified his legacy, earning him the Prix François Coty in 2004.
Now, as Louis Vuitton's in-house perfumer under the LVMH Luxury Group, Cavallier continues to innovate. His mastery of incorporating the synthetic molecule Calone 1951 has defined iconic scents like Aqua di Gio and L'Eau d'Issey. His unique ability to blend tradition with modernity makes his fragrances timeless and captivating.
