Pierre Bourdon
Pierre Bourdon, a Parisian-born perfumer, initially pursued a political science degree before his passion for fragrance redirected his career. In 1971, a pivotal meeting with the legendary Edmond Roudnitska in Grasse led Bourdon to study perfumery under Roudnitska and Jean Carles. His innovative approach soon defined iconic scents like YSL Kouros and Davidoff Cool Water, which transformed fragrance trends in the 1980s.
Bourdon’s work, characterized by an artistic touch and a deep understanding of brand identity, has made him a prominent figure in perfumery. His creations, including *Serge Lutens Feminite du Bois* and *Dolce Vita* for Dior, showcase his exceptional talent for blending artistry with innovation. Continually influential, Bourdon’s recent projects with Frédéric Malle's Éditions de Parfums and MDCI further highlight his enduring legacy in the fragrance industry.
