Karine Vinchon Spehner's perfumery journey began in Normandy, France, where the fragrant memories of her grandfather's biscuit shop and the apple orchards shaped her early life. Captivated by the power of scent, she pursued her passion by enrolling at ISIPCA in Versailles, a prestigious perfumery school. Following her education, Karine joined Robertet, a renowned fragrance firm, where she apprenticed under Michel Almairac. Her dedication and talent soon earned her the role of junior perfumer.
Karine’s creations are celebrated for their rich, ambery, and woody compositions. She has a particular affinity for patchouli and vetiver, which she uses to craft scents with depth and complexity. Her distinctive style is evident in iconic fragrances such as Amouage’s Interlude Woman and L'Artisan Parfumeur’s Batucada. Her work reflects a profound connection to nature and her childhood experiences, blending natural raw ingredients with her creative vision. Karine's ability to weave personal memories and her love for the natural world into her fragrances results in unique, evocative scents that leave a lasting impression.
