Dive into the mesmerizing world of Escentric 05 Eau de Toilette, where the captivating Cerulean Blue hue transports you to the idyllic summers of the Mediterranean. This fragrance is a tribute to the unique allure of Cashmeran, a dry and radiant molecule with warm and woody undertones, reminiscent of pine resin. It was this distinct quality of Cashmeran that inspired Geza Schoen to create a summer fragrance that captures the essence of being by the sea, without relying on artificial marine notes. Instead, he sought to recreate the experience of being on a Mediterranean island.
The top notes of Escentric 05 are a simple yet delightful blend of bergamot and orange, reflecting the bright and joyful atmosphere of orange groves that grace the Mediterranean. Mediterranean plants such as laurel and rosemary contribute to the fragrance with their spicy freshness, while juniper adds an herbal touch and cypress infuses a dry and pungent woodiness. The drydown features two classic Mediterranean ingredients - cistus labdanum and mastic. Mastic, a resin produced by a small tree found near the sea, exudes a sharp scent of freshly-cut branches, while cistus, a ubiquitous plant in the Mediterranean region, adds a sweet, leathery, and balsamic quality. All of this is complemented by a touch of fig, capturing both the bitterness of the leaves and the ripeness of the fruit, reminiscent of the fig tree near Geza Schoen's island home.
